Central Park Conservancy

Healthy cities need healthy parks. That's one of the guiding principles behind the Central Park Conservancy Institute for Urban Parks. As the educational arm of the Conservancy, the Institute is a resource, a classroom, and a model for people and communities around the world who want their urban parks to be the best they can be.

I worked with the Conservancy for over four months to capture the essence of these programs and document the details of each. The result is an incredibly rich and comprehensive collection of images that put the talents and dedication of Park professionals on display, and brings to life the results they achieve in undeniably vivid color.

As a photographer, it was intensely gratifying to be a part of this project. As a New Yorker, words can't explain.

You'd be lost in central park without me

Beyond having the good fortune of spending days in Central Park doing what I love, the Conservancy has also given me other opportunities to create. To date I've designed in-Park maps and signage, annual campaigns, mobile apps and more.
